The Story of the Alpine House In Jackson Hole, WY
A Connection to The Mountain Way of LIfe
We built the first part of our Jackson Hole lodge in 1994 as a seven-room bed and breakfast, and expanded in 2001 to the 22-room lodge, making The Alpine House Lodge, the welcoming alpine retreat it is today. We've both had the unique privilege of representing the United States in the Winter Olympics. Hans was a six-year member of the U.S. Ski Team and competed in the Nordic Combined event at the 1988 Olympics in Calgary, Canada. Hans is an accomplished climber and ski mountaineer, with many first ascents and ski descents in the Teton Mountains. Hans now also serves as a guide for Exum Mountain Guides and lead ski and climb tours for us. Nancy was a six-year member of the US Biathlon Team, competing in the 1992 Olympics in Albertville, France.
We make our home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where we live, work and play with our three children. We have been welcoming guests to our lodge for over twenty-years now. We hope you will feel at home at The Alpine House Lodger. See you soon!
